My experience with New York City projects includes filing applications for alterations and new buildings within all 5 boroughs, subdivisions for existing lots, filing for permits, construction administration, filing for sewer site connections and Back Flow Prevention Applications with DEP and obtaining signoff or C/O. I have a comprehensive understanding of the applications process and how to navigate through the building department to acquire all necessary approvals.
I enjoy working on projects that have a strong connection to the site. Even in urban settings where very little of the natural environment has been conserved, the process of finding the best solution to create innate and stimulating spaces is the most rewarding aspect of my career as a designer.
Achieving such spaces requires attention to detail at multiple scales, keeping the micro and macro in mind at the same time. Fundamental methods to approaching a project of 50,000 SF can be applied to projects of 500 SF. I have come to find that a projects veracity and success is equally as evident in a projects details as well as the project as a whole.
